Today Brown's Ford, Inc. is a full service dealership with a knowledgeable and friendly staff that is here to guide you through your purchase and provide expert service. R. Brown & Sons, Inc. began its mission of assisting customers with their transportation needs in 1956 when Raymond, Richard and Robert Brown opened a Texaco station on Route 30A in Johnstown. In 1958, the Brown family obtained the Edsel franchise. But with 1960 being the last year for the Edsel, they began selling Studebakers and International Trucks. In 1963, the Browns acquired the Ford franchise. Brown's Ford of Johnstown, Inc. has been satisfying customers ever since. In October of 1997, R. Brown & Sons, Inc. purchased the facility that is now Brown's Ford & Mercury, Inc. After extensively renovating and improving the building and grounds, this dealership opened its doors on February 23, 1998.

The dealership has continued to improve over the years allowing it to be set apart from the rest. There is now a Body Shop where experienced technicians service both everyday vehicles as well as motor homes with the assistance of state-of-the-art equipment. Our Service Department completes affordable and accurate repairs in a friendly environment. An array of parts and accessories is available at competitive prices from our Parts Department.
